ECO DRIVER TRAINING MADE EASY

DRIVEALERT Eco is an engaging behaviour-based training program that uses six interactive lessons to promote eco driving

DRIVEALERT Eco

Reducing climate risk is increasngly important priority for all businsesses. Managers with teams who drive cars or vans, can support positive behavioural change with relevant, localised content that is available on-demand.

These six, 15-minute lessons advise drivers how to make informed decisions on the road to reduce CO2e and fuel-spend. By learning to anticipate traffic and hazards, drivers also stay safe.

Here’s how it works:

1. An attention-grabbing fact introduces trainees to the lesson topic, motivating them to learn
2. A short video connects the concept to a real-life situation and offers simple, effective tips to drive more efficiently
3. A 10 question knowledge assessment tests the trainees’ understanding.

Modules

1. Aggressive Driving - This course discusses common behaviours associated with aggressive driving and how managing speed and space, as well as emotions, can help improve driving style.

2. Anticipating the Other Motorist - With an emphasis on defensive driving skills, this course explains how right-of-way mistakes can lead to unpredictable, often dangerous situations and why it is important to identify problems early and use space to avoid hazards.

3. Eco Driving Trip Preparation - Once completed, drivers will understand the importance of proper vehicle maintenance, solutions to reduce fuel use and harmful emissions plus how improper trip planning can lead to increased fuel consumption.

4. Managing Emissions on the Road - This module teaches drivers how to reduce emissions by following safe driving techniques. Participants can expect to learn about factors that increase fuel use on the road, how to take advantage of eco-driving opportunities and tips to save fuel.

5. The Fuel-Efficient Eco Attitude - This module teaches drivers that fuel-efficient driving behaviours reduce emissions and have personal benefits. Drivers will learn how moods and habits affect their driving style and how to adjust driving habits to improve fuel-efficiency.

6. Underestimating Driving Risk - Research shows that motorists frequently underestimate risks, which can lead to dangerous behaviours such as speeding, distracted driving or aggressive driving. This course explains how unrealistic beliefs can affect driving decisions and provides drivers with tips to help them make safe decisions on the road.
